Transforming direct manufacturing sourcing through BOM-driven innovation
GN Group, a leading Danish manufacturer of hearing, audio, video, and gaming technology solutions, transformed its direct sourcing with a digitized, custom Bill of Material (BOM) process to support this essential product structure, paving the way for a more resilient supply chain.
Managing a resilient, global supply chain to ensure continuity, quality, and robust risk control.
Sustaining continuous innovation to remain competitive across rapidly evolving audio, hearing, and gaming markets.
Accelerating product–supplier coordination amid GN’s increasingly complex portfolios and advanced technological components.
Meeting manufacturing demands requiring a complex BOM hierarchy where two different assemblies could contain either the same or different components.
The GN Group brings people closer through its leading intelligent hearing, audio, video, and gaming solutions, supported by a global unified organization. With several thousand employees and a presence across Europe and Asia, the group combines innovation with global reach.
In this context, GN initiated the modernization of its direct sourcing through Ivalua to strengthen alignment between product data, procurement processes, and supplier collaboration.
GN Group deployed a unified Ivalua solution bringing together Direct Sourcing, BOM‑driven sourcing, SRPM, Contract Management, and Supply Chain Collaboration to support integration with five external systems.
This end‑to‑end platform complemented GN’s one‑company setup and drove its achievement of a centralized way of working for Global Operations. With Ivalua, GN’s teams are empowered with a single source of truth, clear product‑component Bill of Material dependencies, and elevated procurement processes to drive its supply chain and purchasing competitiveness.
The project relied on a robust integration framework connecting Ivalua with a PLM, advanced planning software, an integration platform, and ERPs, ensuring synchronized flows across sourcing, product lifecycle, forecasting, and supply planning.
These integrations provided a consistent end‑to‑end process, reducing manual effort and enabling GN teams to collaborate more effectively across sourcing and supply chain activities.
An end‑to‑end BOM sourcing approach, inclusive of cost drivers and error management features.
Higher data accuracy and readiness, to ensure cost‑effectiveness and operational excellence with quarterly sourcing events.
Reduction of manual verification tasks, improving efficiency throughout the sourcing process.
Improved collaboration across sourcing, product, and supply teams, shortening decision‑making cycles, reinforcing quality systems, and mitigating risks.
