Background


Our client is a pioneering energy company with a portfolio and ambitions that span the breadth of the energy transition.

Its strategy is focused on safely delivering production from its existing assets, meeting and de-risking its decommissioning obligations, and pursuing strategic energy transition opportunities from its existing assets.


With more than 30 years of production, our customer’s portfolio is predominantly gas (96%), providing vital energy to fuel homes and businesses in the UK and Europe. Its MNZ carbon capture project aims to provide a world-leading, permanent decarbonisation solution for the industry.

 

Solution deployed


The transition to Ivalua involved data migration, which included contractual documents.

Based on the standard Sourcing and Supplier modules, the Contract module was added, and subsequently highly customized to integrate specific data, such as historical supplier numbers and framework contracts.

In addition, the “Intake Form” plugin was used to facilitate the collection of new supplier and sourcing requests from around 500 users which included employees and subcontractors.

Integration


The contractual information extracted by OJC was adjusted in collaboration with the customer to match the custom-designed Ivalua model.

The extraction, revision and import of contracts, as well as the integration of supplier and bank data, were carried out via ETL processes.

The integration with the DocuSign e-signature platform ensured optimum security for the signature of supplier contracts.

User integration was optimized via single sign-on (SSO), accompanied by daily PGP-encrypted file imports via SFTP.
